AnyList Grocery List AppAre you tired of thumbing around with pen-to-paper grocery lists? Has there been an evening when you’ve stopped to pick up milk after work, only to discover your spouse also picked up milk that evening when you arrive?

Enter AnyList.

AnyList by Purple Cover, Inc. promises to make your grocery shopping trip less stressful. AnyList strives to help shoppers ditch the pen-to-paper grocery list and help shoppers become more efficient and productive in their shopping trips. The app allows you to have a shared list. It also allows you to have multiple lists perhaps for different shopping trips to different stores.

The app has been sitting on my phone for quite some time, but I didn’t get around to using it until this morning. The wife and I have had conflicting schedules lately and it has been difficult to arrange a time to sit down and work on a grocery list. I launched the app and started putting a list together. I noticed the share button as I scrolled down to the bottom. I clicked on it, emailed her the list, she installed the app onto her phone and started updating the list.

I received a text message a few minutes later from her that read:

Aside from creating grocery lists, AnyList also offers a variety of recipes curated from around the web from sites like Allrecipes or Epicurious.  You can search for recipes featuring things like beef, chicken, fish, pasta, etc.  The recipe you select provides you with a list of ingredients.  You can go through those ingredients and add them to your grocery list to pick up later should you not have them on hand.

Overall, AnyList is a must have for the household co-CEO’s.  It’s available for free in the iTunes App Store.
